Before going too far, we should define a word you will read throughout this site. That word is "Church". Without weirding you out with all the greek, it's easiest to say that 'church' means the building Christians meet in for worship, the collective body of people who believe Jesus is the Christ, as well as another word for Christian(s). That is to say, we go to church, and we are the church.
At Kentwood Community Church, we have structured our paid staff so that no one person is indispensable or irreplaceable. Under this model, we feel God is free to call our church (the people who worship in our building) to any position or any one of the staff to anywhere in the world, without negatively impacting what the church as a whole is doing today in our community, or the day to day operating of the church, as a facility. We understand there are different models of church administration out there, all being used to varying levels of success. This is just the one God gave us.
To ensure our direction comes from God and not a personality, our staff is split into teams. Each share taking the God-given visions for the local church, to the church. Those team names are listed along the right side. Click them to lean more about the people who make up those teams as well as their responsibilities to the people they serve..
